Nightlife is our third book of 2018. It steers away from the man made interventions of rural landscape in books 1 & 2 and instead considers the surreal calm of nighttime plants & flowers. Nightlife is dark Dorset flora photographed by moonlight, car light, street lights or torch.

Photographed by Jethro Marshall over the duration of 4 seasons, the results are less fine botanical studies more casual greyscale records of growth & decay.

The book also includes a new essay by acclaimed artist Tania Kovats which discusses our relationship with the rural dark as a special creative opportunity to fine tune senses and find peace away from our constant illuminated digital state of ‘on’.
